Information we process
We process email addresses for sign-in, subscriptions, free filing alerts, and waitlist requests. Paid subscribers can provide a phone number and senator, ticker, and trade-size preferences. We store subscription status and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Stripe handles checkout and payment details; our application does not store card numbers.
Authentication and delivery
Supabase provides database storage and email-code authentication. A secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for up to one hour. Twilio processes phone numbers and SMS messages. Resend processes email addresses and filing alerts. Delivery records contain recipient identifiers, trade identifiers, provider message identifiers, attempt counts, and delivery state so we can investigate failures and avoid duplicate alerts.
Hosting and analytics
Vercel hosts the website and provides web analytics. Render hosts the API and worker. These providers may process network, device, request, and diagnostic information. We use request information for rate limiting and service operation. Our providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States.
Purpose and choices
We use this information to provide access, process subscriptions, deliver requested alerts, measure website usage, and maintain service reliability. We do not sell your personal information. You can change alert preferences after signing in, remove your phone number to stop application SMS alerts, reply STOP to SMS, unsubscribe using the link in a filing email, or manage billing through Stripe.
Retention and requests
Account and operational records are retained while needed to provide the service, resolve billing or delivery issues, and meet applicable obligations. Contact privacy@capitalgains.app to request access, correction, deletion, or assistance withdrawing consent. Some billing records may need to be retained after cancellation. We will explain any applicable limits when responding to your request.
