Capitol Gains is operated from Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and applicable privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the following personal information:

Email address — collected when you voluntarily join our waitlist. We also record the source of the signup (e.g., "hero_waitlist") and the timestamp.

IP address — temporarily processed for rate limiting purposes. We do not store IP addresses permanently.

We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not collect payment information, browsing history, device fingerprints, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used exclusively to:

(a) notify you when our paid SMS alert service launches; (b) send product updates related to Capitol Gains; (c) communicate important changes to the Service or these policies.

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on cloud infrastructure. Access to the database is restricted to authorized personnel via encrypted connections. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain on our waitlist or are a subscriber. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

As Capitol Gains is operated from Canada and serves users globally, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including the United States (where our database infrastructure is hosted). By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

(a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) withdraw consent for communications at any time; (e) lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to waitlist subscribers or posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
